SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies
  2. Formulates training objectives, outlines, and determines instructional methods such as classroom in-person instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, E-Learning, group instruction, one-to-one, conferences, meetings, and/or workshops.
  3. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos.
  4. Selects training aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
  5. Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
  6. Evaluate trainees to measure progress and to assess the effectiveness of training.
  7. Identifies performance gaps or improper system usage and reports on the progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
  8. Assists employees with "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions.
  9. Organizes classrooms for trainings and makes sure the material is sufficient and organized.
  10. Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.
  11. Maintains trainee personnel records.
  12. Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback.
  13. Demonstrates courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors and other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Communication – strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

EDUCATION

Associate degree required. Bachelors preferred.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 1 (one) year of training experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of training and working experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in English and Spanish required.
