Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Orderly to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment, support the surgical team, and ensure the comfort and safety of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room and other areas of the facility.
  • Ensure that surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and available for use.
  • Assist with positioning patients on the operating table and provide support during procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Provide support to the surgical team as needed, including handling specimens and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a surgical orderly or in a similar healthcare role.
  • Basic knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment as required.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • OSHA certification.
