Summary:  Leon Medical Centers is seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgery Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures for diagnostic radiology and applying principles of radiation protection while adhering to all policies and procedures. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Follow instructions from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
  • Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety.
  • Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position.
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient.
  • Maintain good patient records.
  • Keep radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Skills / Requirements

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical setting.
  • Licensed in Florida.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
