Are you passionate about helping others regain their strength and mobility? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
- Monitors patient's progress and provides feedback to the physical therapist
- Communicate with or instruct caregivers or family members on the patient's therapeutic activities or treatment plans.
- Performs routine treatment/care, services and procedures in accordance with plan of care delegated and supervised by the therapist
Requirements
- Associates degree obtained from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) and the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Valid Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish required in order to communicate with our patient community
