Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain medication inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing returns.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products, including IV infusions.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Document medication administration accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices.
Location
- This position requires to rotate between our 8 medical centers in Miami-Dade County
License/Certifications
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida is required.
- PTCB Certified
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish with a focus on patient service.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
- Experience in patient care within a hospital or critical care environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy field.
