PC Technician 

The PC Technician supports and maintains internal computer systems, including desktops, servers, and peripherals, in alignment with IT objectives. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and optimizing hardware and software, while providing timely technical support and user assistance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues; perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues.
  • Support various operating systems and applications, including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
  • Assist with basic server maintenance and network infrastructure support.
  • Maintain documentation for repairs, inventory, warranties, and service history.
  • Coordinate with vendors for technical support and parts procurement.
  • Travel between locations to install, repair, or deliver equipment.
  • Support printers, copiers, communication systems, and network devices.
  • Participate in IT infrastructure projects and stay current with emerging technologies.
  • Manage access control and parking security systems.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and resolve support tickets promptly.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware, and networking concepts.
  • Experience supporting large-scale networks (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in supporting hardware, software, and networked devices.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 2 years of PC technician experience supporting hardware and software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred.

Language

  • Fluent in English and Spanish required.
