SUMMARY

 

Inventory is responsible for keeping track of the goods and supplies in warehouse and managing orders to facilitate timely deliveries to our patients.Their duties include meeting and negotiating with vendors, signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times.
  2. Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products to ensure all inventory is accounted for accurately.
  3. Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company's standards.
  4. Managing monthly inventory counts with the Warehouse team, and ensure that counts are uploaded and accounted for correctly prior to submitting to the Director of Leon At Home.
  5. Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs.
  6. Assisting warehouse technicians and warehouse clerks in day to day activities when needed.
  7. Performs daily inventory vehicles checks on all vehicles.
  8. Maintains warehouse inventory and daily check of perpetual inventory in each truck in strict adherence to OSHA regulations and standards.
  9. Assists in locating equipment/supplies to load on trucks. Guarantees all items are properly tagged, patient ready and identified by lot or serial number.
  10. Cleans and Disinfects equipment as needed,
  11. Receives new equipment and supplies accordingly,
  12. New equipment is assembled and checked,
  13. Ensures their work area is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.
  14. Participates in training programs; annually updates trainings on OSHA, Infection Control and Safe-Lifting
  15. Strictly adheres to company Policy and Procedures on Infection Control Safety
  16. Follows Company Policy on Patient Confidentiality
  17. Performs other duties as assigned
  18. Wears a complete uniform and keeps a clean and neat appearance during working hours.
  19. Demonstrates courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors and other employees.
  20. Maintains open channels of communication with center administration and other company departments; Answers all inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  21. Participates in training and in-service education as required.
  22. Participates in department, clinic and other meetings as requested.
  23. Complies with Leon Medical Centers' policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality in accordance with state and federal laws.
  24. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Required to uphold the principles of compliance as outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook and related policies and procedures.

Interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively and clearly with internal customers including customer service.

Able to work independently and under pressure.

 

 

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of (2) two years of experience in working as an inventory clerk or similar capacity; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in English and Spanish required.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work schedule is approximate and hours/days may change based on company needs. All full-time employees are required to complete forty (40) hours per week as scheduled, including on weekends and holidays. Position requires the ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility. Sits, stands, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during working hours. Interacts with patients, family members, staff, visitors, government agencies, etc., under a variety of conditions and circumstances. May be subject to hostile and/or emotionally upset patients, family members, staff, visitors, etc. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the AIDS and hepatitis B viruses. All employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Engerix Hepatitis B vaccination series
