A Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical tasks in an outpatient examining room setting under the direction of a physician. Prepares treatment rooms, inventory supplies and instruments, and sets up patient for attention of physician. Provides basic medical care to patients in a clinical setting an uses enters patient data in a electronic medical record.

- Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Certifications obtained from an accredited provider.
- CPR or BLS for the Healthcare Provider certificate issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- One (1) year of experience as a, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist or in additional areas of patient health care in a clinical setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluency in English and Spanish is required in order to communicate effectively with our patient population.
