Insurance Specialist

Position Summary
 
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist to support the Company's commercial insurance program and related risk management activities. This role is responsible for coordinating insurance administration, maintaining compliance documentation, managing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and assisting with policy renewals, audits, and risk mitigation initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience in commercial insurance administration, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review insurance policies, contracts, and Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Administer and maintain the Company's COI program.
  • Assist with insurance applications, renewals, endorsements, audits, and policy administration.
  • Coordinate collection and maintenance of exposure data and insurance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
  • Support risk identification efforts and corporate risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with insurance requirements across contracts and business operations.
  • Work closely with insurance brokers, carriers, and internal departments regarding insurance matters.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in commercial insurance, insurance administration, risk management, or corporate insurance coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Florida 4-40 Customer Service Representative License.
  • Experience working with commercial lines insurance programs.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and insurance compliance requirements.
