Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Hospital Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients during their hospital visits or stays, ensuring a positive and supportive experience. You will identify and resolve patient concerns, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong relationships with both patients and hospital staff. Your dedication to service excellence will help foster a welcoming and caring environment for all.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Welcomes patients to the Welcome Center and checks them in computer system.
  2. Escorts the patient to the doctor and/or procedure offices.  Guides them back to the Welcome Center when the patient’s appointment is complete.
  3. Escorts and ensures that all patients leave with the correct transportation.  Keeps a log of patient’s departure (i.e., time, transportation, etc.).
  4. Arranges transportation services for patients that are being discharged from the hospital.
  5. Advises the transportation department when the patients are ready to be picked up.
  6. Visits patients that have been admitted to the hospital.
  7. Ensures that hospitalized patients receive a flower and card.
  8. Delivers medications to the doctor’s offices.
  9. Guides the patients to the restrooms and helps them if they need assistance.
  10. Ensures that the patients are feeling comfortable while waiting in the Welcome Center Lobby area.
  11. Answers phone calls and inquiries in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
  12. Delivers patient films to the Doctor’s offices and/or surgical lobby.
  13. Sends patient’s prescription refills to the appropriate pharmacy.
  14. Reports any complaints or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  15. Provides friendly, customer-orientated responses to all issues and inquiries.
  16. Handles all complaints received in the department in a professional, courteous and caring manner.
  17. Deals with irate patients in a manner that shows empathy and concern.  Apologizes to the caller or visitor for any mistakes and immediately take steps to remedy the situation.
  18. Communicates with other offices for necessary patient information.
  19. Provides excellent service to our patients that meets and whenever possible exceeds their expectations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
