Overview

The Financial Budget Analyst is an essential part of our accounting team. This role is pivotal in developing and managing the organization's budget, ensuring it aligns with the company's financial goals and operational needs. By conducting thorough financial analyses, the analyst assesses company performance, identifies trends, and provides critical insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget Development and Management: The analyst is responsible for creating and overseeing the organization's budget, ensuring it is comprehensive and aligns with financial objectives.
  • Financial Performance Monitoring: They monitor actual financial performance against the budget, analyze variances, and prepare detailed reports to explain discrepancies.
  • Cost Evaluation: The analyst evaluates costs associated with various projects, departments, or products to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Preparing regular financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, summarizing key financial metrics and trends.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to gather data and insights necessary for budget and analysis processes.
  • Month-End Closing: Assisting the accounting department with month-end closing journal entries.
  • Special Projects: Performing special projects and analyses as needed to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with a master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience with budgeting and financial analysis as an Accountant is essential.
