DME Customer Service Supervisor
Job Description
SUMMARY
The DME Customer Service Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all Patient Care Specialists process daily orders correctly, and diligently. This position requires monitoring to ensure that all of the processes are followed correctly when processing orders and ensuring that the department is adhering to guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that daily order received via LMC Application, Discharges, or phone calls, are processed in a timely manner.
- Provides telephonic support to either patients, Service Assessment, or anyone who needs to speak with a supervisor.
- Monitors the phone system to ensure that all calls are being answered in a timely basis.
- Processes payroll on a timely basis and keeps record of all approved PTO.
- Learns and implements Medicare guidelines.
- Reviews pending daily orders to ensure that they are processed in a timely manner.
- Is responsible for training employees and checking their work.
- Disenrollments: Ensures that daily, all disenrollments are followed up on, and ensure that our equipment is recovered.
- Transitions: Ensures that the representative that was assigned to this task is making sure that all new patients are transitioned properly to avoid any delays.
- Ensures that the beginning of every hurricane season, we are ready to call of our oxygen patients. Once hurricane season is done, we transition those oxygen tanks back to the vendor.
- Assists the team as needed to process internal and external orders.
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA standards of patient and confidentiality.
- Follows up on pending orders on a daily basis; Provides an update ot the Director
- Assists other leaders in the department when needed, to ensure that we are working as a team
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years DME experience
Managerial and supervising experience
Customer service experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English and Spanish required.
