Construction Manager

Corporate-CO, Miami, Florida, 33166, United States

We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Manager to play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering a wide range of facility and building projects. In this position, you’ll lead projects from concept to completion—partnering closely with internal teams, end users, and external vendors to ensure every project is executed smoothly, on time, and within budget.

As a Construction Manager, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to develop project programs, guide design development, manage bidding and budgeting, and oversee on‑site construction activities for new buildings, redevelopments, interior buildouts, and other special facility projects. You’ll serve as the central point of coordination between Real Estate Operations, Maintenance, Facilities Engineering, Security, design professionals, contractors, and facility users.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at problem‑solving, and enjoys leading multiple projects with a high level of ownership. The Construction Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Real Estate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate user meetings to develop project programs that enhance staff and client experience.
  • Ensure an efficient planning process, managing both user input and design team resources.
  • Oversee plan development, ensuring all user requirements are captured before Construction Documents are released.
  • Secure final user sign‑off and direct the design team through full plan development.
  • Lead project pricing efforts (summary budget, hard bid, or GMP) in collaboration with the VP of Real Estate.
  • Manage approved project budgets and all construction administration throughout project duration.
  • Direct and coordinate the design team, including proposals, contracts, and payment processing.
  • Manage contractors from pre‑construction to closeout, including proposals, contracts, scheduling, and payments.
  • Develop project schedules and allocate time and resources to meet all deadlines.
  • Inspect project sites regularly to ensure compliance with approved plans.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with architects, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee permit processing and tracking for all projects.
  • Implement solutions for delays, weather impacts, and on‑site emergencies.
  • Address and resolve issues with management, vendors, contractors, and design professionals.
  • Investigate construction‑related damages, accidents, or delays to ensure proper protocols are followed.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Participate in required training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of relevant construction management experience, ideally within healthcare or similar highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with solid knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools used in residential and commercial projects.
  • Understanding of design techniques and principles, including the ability to read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while delivering clear verbal and written communication.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Building Science, or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
  • Fluent in English & Spanish
