Position Summary:
A Registered Nurse under general direction from the Director of Nursing provides nursing care of patients; plans and oversees departmental staff nursing activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with public health, home health care, or hospital background
- Must have at least one year of clinical experience obtained within the last 36 months
- Ability to deal effectively with stress
- Must be empathetic, non-judgmental, tactful, responsible, and organized
- Must understand the team approach and be a supportive team member
- CPR certified
Duties:
- Develops, implements and evaluates orientation in Conjunction with the Director of Nursing and the Compliance Officer
- Participates in the development of administrative policies and procedures relating to the Agency
- Participates in the review, analysis, and appraisal of the effectiveness of the total Agency program
- Participate in assigning personnel to patients based on patient need and physician’s plan of care
- Monitors and audits patient’s clinical records
- Be in charge of payroll, approve PTO and manage overtime
- Prepare backup and on call schedule for field staff.
